Duman Mukhametkarim

Mukhametkarim was sentenced to 7 years for an interview with opposition politician Mukhtar Ablyazov, accused of cooperating with him. He has repeatedly gone on hunger strike and self-harmed in detention due to unfair trial and rights violations, leading to severe health deterioration. He was arrested on June 22, 2023, and convicted on August 2, 2024. Reports indicate that they have been subjected to torture.
