Айданбек Акматаў — журналіст і аналітык, які працаваў з медыя Azattyk і іншымі выданнямі, піша пра палітыку і эканоміку Кыргызстана. Ён быў затрыманы ў сувязі з Кемпірабскім справай, дзе ён сцвярджаў, што прысутнічаў толькі як журналіст, які асвятляе пратэсты супраць перадачы Кемпірабскай вадасховішча Узбекістану. Яго абвіначылі ў прычастнасці да «Камітэта па абароне Кемпірабада». Ён правёў 1 год і 8 месяцаў у следчым ізалятары (СІЗО-1) у цяжкіх умовах, уключаючы адсутнасць медыцынскай дапамогі і перапаўненасць. Нягледзячы на тое, што суд апраўдаў яго 14 чэрвеня 2024 года, яго справа застаецца на разглядзе ў апеляцыйнай інстанцыі ў рамках больш шырокай Кемпірабскай справы. У дадзены час ён знаходзіцца пад хатным арештам.

Aidanbek Akmatov is a journalist and analyst who has worked with Azattyk media and other outlets, writing on politics and economics in Kyrgyzstan. He was detained in connection with the Kempir-Abad case, where he maintained he was present only as a journalist covering protests regarding the handover of the Kempir-Abad reservoir to Uzbekistan. He was accused of involvement with the 'Committee for the Protection of Kempir-Abad'. He spent 1 year and 8 months in pre-trial detention (SIZO-1) facing harsh conditions, including lack of medical care and overcrowding. Although acquitted by a court on June 14, 2024, his case remains under review in the second instance as part of the broader Kempir-Abad case. He is currently under house detention.
